Acne is a skin condition that occurs on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders, and upper arms. It can include plugged pores such as blackheads and whiteheads, inflamed pimples (pustules), and deeper lumps (nodules).

Often thought of as only a problem that teenagers face, some forms of acne can occur in adults in their 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, or even older. In some cases, untreated acne can leave permanent scars that may require treatment by a dermatologist. To avoid acne scarring, treating acne is important.

If you’re frustrated with acne and wish you had clear, radiant skin request a consultation with Dr. Hynscht, MD.
